A 45-year-old man is admitted into A&E reporting of bilateral sciatica, saddle anaesthesia and loss of urinary and faecal continence. A sagittal MRI scan of the patient’s spine was taken. The patient was diagnosed with Cauda Equina Syndrome as a result. The patient has a past medical history of prostate cancer, stage 2 hypertension and a left intracapsular neck of femur fracture. The patient is scheduled for spinal decompression.
